Four colleagues from Microlise are preparing to take on Transaid’s Kilimanjaro to Coast Cycle Challenge, representing #TeamMicrolise as part of our continued support for the international development organisation.

Taking place from 17–26 September 2026, the challenge will see riders cycle 454km across Tanzania, travelling from Moshi, in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, towards the coast.

With five days in the saddle, the route will take all riders through rural landscapes, small towns and tough climbs, including Lake Jipe and Irente Viewpoint, before finishing near the Indian Ocean coast.

Representing Microlise, give a big cheer for Andree Ball, Marketing Events Manager; Sally Gilder, Solutions Consultant Lead; Aaron Maher, Account Director; Luke Shaw, Senior Software Engineer.

Our partnership with Transaid goes back more than a decade.

Since becoming a corporate member in 2015, we have supported the charity through fundraising, events, volunteering and advocacy. From the annual Transaid Cup and Charity Golf Day to raffles, auctions and industry events, we continue to get behind Transaid’s work year after year.

Cycle challenges have also become a special part of that relationship. Over the years, colleagues from Microlise have taken part in challenges across South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Paris and Kenya, helping raise vital funds for Transaid’s work.

This year, attention turns to Tanzania.

The money raised through the Cycle Kili challenge will support Transaid’s work improving road safety, strengthening professional driver training and helping communities access safer, more reliable transport.
