Supporting Driver Health Week 2026

1-6 September

Proud supporter of Driver Health Week

We’re delighted to sponsoring Driver Health Week 2026, helping to raise awareness of the physical and mental wellbeing challenges faced by professional drivers across the UK.

Taking place from 1–6 September 2026, Driver Health Week is led by Driving Better Health, a UK charity dedicated to improving health outcomes for professional drivers and putting driver wellbeing at the heart of transport policy and industry practice.

For too long, the health challenges faced by the people who keep goods, passengers and communities moving have been overlooked. From HGV and coach drivers to bus and taxi drivers, many professional drivers work long hours, spend extended periods away from home and face demanding schedules that can make it harder to prioritise their own health.

Driver Health Week aims to change that conversation.

Why driver health matters

Drivers are the backbone of the transport industry. Their skill, professionalism and commitment keep supply chains moving, passengers connected and businesses running every day.

But a safe and resilient transport sector depends on more than vehicles, routes and schedules. It also depends on the people behind the wheel being supported to stay well, alert and able to do their jobs safely.

Driver health is becoming an increasingly important issue across the industry, particularly as operators manage the realities of an ageing workforce, ongoing recruitment challenges and the need to retain skilled, experienced drivers.

By supporting Driver Health Week, we’re helping to shine a light on the importance of practical, everyday conversations around driver wellbeing – from fatigue, fitness and mental health to access to support and small changes that can make a meaningful difference.

Supporting the people who keep transport moving

At Microlise, our technology is designed to help operators improve safety, efficiency and compliance across their fleets. But we also know that technology is only part of the picture.

Supporting safer operations starts with supporting drivers.

That commitment is reflected in initiatives such as the Microlise Driver of the Year Awards, which celebrate the outstanding contribution drivers make to the UK transport industry and recognise the professionalism, dedication and excellence that keep the country moving.

Speaking about Microlise’s support for Driver Health Week, Nadeem Raza, CEO at Microlise, said:

“Professional drivers play a vital role in keeping the UK moving, and Driver Health Week is an important opportunity to put their health and wellbeing firmly on the industry agenda.

“By bringing businesses, drivers and industry partners together, we can raise awareness, share practical support and encourage healthier, safer working environments across the sector.

“At Microlise, we’re proud to support an initiative that recognises the people behind the wheel and encourages the whole industry to take driver health seriously.”
