Microlise Group Expands its Portfolio with the Acquisition of K-Safe Assets and IP

We are thrilled to announce that Microlise Group has successfully acquired the assets of K-Safe Limited, the parent company behind the renowned road safety products, Flare and Flare Aware.

Flare stands as a multi-award-winning platform, boasting a user base of 8 million individuals. This platform has been instrumental in assisting leading brands like Deliveroo and Just Eat, as well as 2-wheeled vehicle users (cyclists, motorcyclists, e-scooter riders) in gaining a deeper understanding of mobility risks and safety concerns.

Flare Aware, a dynamic driver hazard warning system developed in collaboration with Microlise, leverages data from the extensive Flare mobile app user network. It provides timely awareness and alerts to drivers as they approach both fixed and dynamic hazards on the road.

With this acquisition, we are thrilled to exclusively offer Flare Aware to our valued customers, as its dynamic hazard warnings are made possible only through the extensive Flare mobile app user network.

This innovative hazard solution, combined with Microlise’s existing hazard warning product offerings, creates a one-of-a-kind safety product tailor-made for logistics operators. Notably, Microlise customers have already embarked on successful trials of this product.

As part of this exciting development, Microlise has welcomed the two dedicated K-Safe staff members into our team, ensuring a seamless transition for all existing customer contracts.

Nadeem Raza, CEO of Microlise, said: “We are excited to have acquired the assets of K-Safe, giving us exclusive access to the Flare and Flare Aware products.

“The Flare product also expands our market offerings to the fast-growing last mile solution space, and the 2-wheel vehicle space globally.”
