The Senior Traffic Commissioner has issued temporary guidance to the traffic commissioners on the way they carry out their regulatory duties in order to support the goods and passenger carrying industries, as they face the challenges of transitioning out of the Covid-19 crisis over the coming months.
The most recent guidance includes changes to:
- The period of grace for financial standing
- Virtual training
- Public inquiries and driver conduct hearings
- Local bus service registrations and,
- Local authority notice periods.
