The RHA’s fifth annual National Lorry Week is next week and we are all being urged to show our support for the HGV drivers who keep the wheels of commerce moving.
RHA members across the country will be promoting the haulage industry with events planned to run from the 16 to the 22nd September.
The RHA estimates that the sector has a current driver shortage of 60,000 so it is encouraging supporters to use National Lorry Week to promote the profession as a career option.
As this follows the recent government announcement of £1m funding to boost the Road to Logistics program, a joint initiative between the RHA and Microlise, there has never been a better time to encourage aspiring HGV drivers to jump on-board.
