The Microlise Transport Conference is up for a major national gong at the UK Event Awards alongside Google, Microsoft, Citroen and others.
The Conference of the Year nomination marks a major milestone for the event which has grown from meagre beginnings in the Microlise boardroom on the outskirts of Nottingham to become the largest road transport conference in Europe.
The prestigious award judging panel includes individuals from major consumer brands like Innocent and notonthehighstreet.com, as well as leading event agencies and organisations.
With guest speakers including HRH The Princess Royal and executives from seven of the largest truck manufacturers in Europe, plus more than a thousand delegates, the 2016 Microlise Transport Conference was the biggest to date.
The conference was commended at the UK Event Awards last year in the “In-House Event of the Year” category. The awards have been run by marketing magazine The Drum since 2012 as a way of showcasing, celebrating and inspiring great work.
The 2016 winners will be announced at a special awards evening in Central London on 1st December. Fingers crossed!
Plans are already in place to make the Microlise Transport Conference even bigger in 2017 when it will again take place at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 17th May.
