The Microlise Transport Conference, now a key date in the transport & logistics industry calendar, looks set to attract more than a thousand delegates once again next year when the event takes place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on the 18 May, 2016.
The conference, which includes a full day’s programme supported by focused workshops and an industry exhibition area, will once again be chaired by Quentin Willson, one of Britain’s best-known motoring authorities. It will feature speakers from across the industry, including transport operators, industry bodies and other key stakeholders.
“We have our sights set high following this year’s successful conference. We’ve already lined up our first speakers for the event next May and the agenda is shaping up to be the best we have ever produced. Combined with more workshop space and a few new features, we are hoping to attract even more transport professionals this year,” said Nadeem Raza, Chief Executive Officer, Microlise.
The 2015 Microlise Transport Conference saw an array of speakers address delegates from across the industry. Sessions were run by industry associations and bodies including the Road Haulage Association (RHA), the Freight Transport Association (FTA), and the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency (DVSA). Speakers also included industry operators, such as Brit European, Bidvest and Alloga, as well as tyre manufacturer Goodyear.
In addition to the conference programme, delegates attending in 2016 will gain access to a series of workshop areas covering a range of topics relevant for transport professionals and an exhibition area a third bigger than last year.
Willson commented: “One thing’s for sure, the UK haulage industry wants its important voice clearly heard. Without the daily frantic activity of the logistics industry the UK economy would shudder to a halt. Simply put, all those trucks and wagons deliver everything to everybody – and they do it in a profoundly impressive way. The Microlise Transport Conference provides a method for the industry to convene, discuss important topics and be heard.”
The Ricoh Arena, which is once again hosting the Microlise Transport Conference, is one of the UK’s top venues for exhibitions and conferences, and is conveniently centrally located to provide easy access.
Registration for the event has now opened through the all new conference website, which can be found at www.microliseconference.com. The Microlise Transport Conference is free to attend, with both the available exhibitor and delegate places expected to be taken quickly.
