Britain’s hauliers have joined with partners to help ex-service veterans that are struggling with health problems, homelessness or crime, become truck drivers. The scheme, called ‘Road to Logistics’, is to create a national training programme to attract new talent from areas of society where ‘individuals need help and support’.

The scheme involves charity Care After Combat, which already helps veterans that struggle with life after service. Alongside the charity, telematics company Microlise will set up training academies, while the RHA will provide jobs via its membership. Read more on Logistics Manager.
