Microlise Telematics Reports Fifth Consecutive Year of Growth

Vehicle telematics, Transport Management and Mobile Solutions specialists Microlise, has reported its fifth consecutive year of growth. Since 2009, Microlise revenues have grown by an average of 15% per annum. With their financial year ending in July 2013, Microlise has seen its annual turnover continue this trend and now report international sales growth up by over 40%.

This year’s record turnover not only reflects the continued growth in UK sales of their Fleet Performance Telematics, Journey Management and e-POD solutions to a number of prestigious customers, but is a result of a significant jump in partner & export sales.

Microlise now have over 100,000 connections, with technology deployed on vehicles and plant in 116 countries, with their web-based system supporting over 28 different languages.

“We’ve had a good year and have seen significant growth both in our direct solutions business through existing customers like Tesco, DHL and Carlsberg and also some major new contracts like Viridor. Additionally, we’ve seen a significant jump in our channel business with our resellers and OEM Automotive and Plant partners”, comments Nadeem Raza, Managing Director at Microlise.

Nadeem added; “Our success in delivering white label solutions to OEM partners, has been reflected by JCB awarding us their Supplier of the Year Award for Innovation for our solution which they fit across their product portfolio around the globe. I am also really excited by our next generation of telematics solution which we will be launching with a new OEM partner in early 2014”.

Microlise will also be building upon the success of their Transport & Logistics Telematics platform by moving into further new sectors and geographies in 2014.

Microlise invests over £3M per annum in R&D and employ 80 developers and testers in a bid to sustain their position at the cutting edge of innovation and functionality within the Telematics, Transport Management and Mobile Worker solutions arena.

“Microlise have a long-standing reputation for innovation.” continues Nadeem Raza. “We listen to our customers and develop accordingly but we are also pushing the boundaries of technology within the telematics space.”

“The success of SmartPOD, a pay-as-you-go Proof of Delivery app for sub-contractors, and our new in-cab tablet driver communications module are testament to our substantial investment in R&D”.

Nadeem Raza concludes, “Overall, I am pleased with our continued growth and success which is due to a lot of hard work from our team. However, it doesn’t stop here. We have big plans for Microlise in the coming months and years which will allow us to grow our business both within the UK, as well as in new geographies and sectors.”
