Latest Product Release Made Available – Version 19.3

In line with our schedule of monthly product releases, we’re pleased to have made available to customers version 19.3 of our solution.

This release includes a range of product enhancements and modifications, giving customers additional features and functionality to support the running of their fleet operations.

Within Fleet Performance, we’ve updated the user interface for users of the Microlise ClearVision vehicle camera solution, making it easier to request the download of new video footage and play footage that is already available.

ClearVision is our own vehicle camera solution, integrating into our telematics offering. Customers benefit from using existing hardware to transmit camera footage, as well as being able to deploy multiple cameras onto a vehicle to deliver a complete real-world view of what was happening at any particular moment in time.

Customers can request footage snapshots, at one frame per second, to reduce costs, before downloading HD quality footage for a specified time-period.

Version 19.3 also includes a new report, adding further to the comprehensive suite already available to customers. The Driver Shift Report allows transport operators to more accurately track the distinct shift patterns of their drivers, regardless of which vehicle they are using for that period of time. Helpful for example when calculating payroll for drivers.

Within our Journey Management product, we have enhanced our Journey API to allow planning systems to send Journey Waypoints into the Microlise solution.

This ensures a customers’ planning system and the Microlise Journey Management system remain fully aligned in the selection of the most appropriate route for a given vehicle type. This in turn means more accurate estimated time of arrival calculations and increased compliance to rules regarding barred roads and agreed approaches to customer locations.

We’ve also made an enhancement to our SmartPOD mobile applications, part of our Delivery Management product suite. SmartPOD is a handy mobile app used by drivers to manage deliveries, and can be utilised to manage third party sub-contractors, both as regards delivery management but also tracking location as well.

In version 19.3, users of SmartPOD, on the Journey Acceptance, Journey Info, and Select Next Destination screens, can now see a variety of different times against a location, for example allowing them to understand time windows of delivery, planned time of arrival, planned time of delivery, and more.

Microlise customers can request a full copy of the 19.3 release notes, giving details on everything included in this latest release.
