Microlise Launches Integrated Planning & Optimisation Solution

Microlise has launched Planning & Optimisation, a feature-rich planning and optimisation tool that is set to provide faster and more efficient route planning than currently available in the market. The product seamlessly integrates with Microlise’s market-leading Fleet Performance, Journey Management and ePOD solutions.

Planning & Optimisation supports planners to generate an optimised plan in minutes from across hundreds of thousands of permutations and allows for last-minute consignments to be added, optimised and applied to existing routes as they arrive. A unique visualisation feature means that planners can monitor the progress of the algorithm and visualise when a plan is fully optimised against run-time KPIs.

“There are a number of optimisation solutions on the market, but for the first time we can now offer our new and existing customers a fast and flexible interface that integrates fully with our existing solutions to deliver a lower cost of completion, real efficiency savings and an end-to-end solution,” said Luke Olsen, Microlise Director of Sales – Asia Pacific.

“Planning & Optimisation harnesses cutting-edge technology and a modern web-based platform. It offers an intuitive and simple user interface that allows planners to make manual adjustments prior to publishing a plan.  It provides complete visibility of discrete elements such as lorries and drivers, assigned and unassigned orders, planned distance, duty time and other factors that improve fleet visibility and asset performance. The flexible algorithm can also be adjusted to address common issues around delays, bottlenecks and last minute orders.”

Microlise is a market leader in telematics solutions, with a current installed base of over 500,000 global assets. Microlise has a well-established foothold in the retail sector, with its solutions already delivering value to some of the world’s largest companies and transport fleets – including Coles Online in Australia, Foodstuffs NI, Gilmours and 14 of the UK’s 15 largest retailers along with industry heavyweights such as MAN Truck & Bus and JCB.
