Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (HHTS) has, in collaboration with the Black Dog Institute, launched two training programs for managers and workers in the transport, warehousing, and logistics industries.
The training programs aim to improve confidence and knowledge when dealing with mental health issues and, according to feedback received, 85% of managers agreed that they felt more able to manage workplace issues as a result of the courses.
The training can be completed online or face to face and include:
- Managing for Team Wellbeing – Training for employers, managers, and supervisors
- Your Mental Health at Work – Training for workers and individuals

The Driving Health Project
The Driving Health Project led by Monash University aims to develop evidence-based strategies to improve the health of Australian truck drivers.
The project aims to identify the work, personal, social, environmental & regulatory factors impacting on the health and driving outcomes of Australian truck driversand with cross- industry collaboration, to co-design health-focused intervention programs.
The team has also compiled a list of helpful resources to help support truck drivers with their health and wellbeing which can be accessed here.
