It has been a strange year.

Every business has needed to respond at speed to the extraordinary circumstances of the past number of months. For many staff it has also been a time of upheaval and uncertainty as some staff were furloughed – and stepped away from their normal roles for a time –  while others learned to manage new ways of working.

At Microlise, one of the core values we celebrate is to ‘make things happen’ and the team has quickly adapted to the challenges and opportunities of working from home.

For our business, change is the one constant and our need for agility and flexibility is central to our ongoing product development and customer support. As a company, we have come through this unusual and busy lockdown period and some six months down the track, we are saying ‘thank you’ to our staff for all of their efforts.

We would normally have celebrated our successes at our Summer BBQ event around this time but given current restrictions, have instead sourced a gift box full of indulgent goodies for every staff member to enjoy during their at home or in the office tea and coffee breaks. For our staff in India we’ll issue gifts to help them celebrate Diwali in November.

This gift giving mirrors some of our other staff initiatives throughout the year including our Valentine’s Day and Easter gifts and our ‘12 days of Christmas’ where staff receive a gift every morning throughout Advent.
