Microlise welcomes a number of undergraduates to head-office every year, to take part in an assessment that will see one of them enter our graduate programme.

According to talent specialist, Kerry Bartram, “The day provides candidates with an opportunity to jump headlong into the business, via interactive sessions and by working their way through a number of operational scenarios with support from our Head of Development and other team members.”

“Candidates get a very real sense of what it’s like to work in a solution-focused and fast-paced environment, and we get the chance to see how passionate they are about coding and data, and how well they’ll fit into the team, from a cultural perspective.”

The undergraduates who made it through this year are all high-achievers in their studies and come from Middlesex University London, University of Leicester, Nottingham University, Loughborough University, the University of Warwick and Edge Hill University in Lancashire.

Microlise has been successfully attending University Career Open Days for a number of years, launching its current graduate recruitment programme in late 2018. Since then, application numbers have risen steadily.

The Microlise graduate programme runs for a year, with the intention of preparing candidates for entry-level software developer roles, allowing them to move across teams, to understand Microlise career advancement opportunities, and the various developer roles available within the business.

Our 2020 round of University visits will commence in October 2019, so look out for us at Nottingham Trent and Nottingham University very soon.
