We are looking for a highly capable and customer-focused Technical Project Manager to manage and deliver Microlise projects from inception through to successful implementation. This is a hands-on role where you will play a critical part in ensuring software quality, supporting customers, and delivering real business value through effective project execution.

You will act as a key point of contact for customers, working collaboratively to configure, implement, and optimise solutions while ensuring a high standard of service throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and deliver projects effectively from initiation to completion, ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Test and assure software quality prior to release, including interfaces with external systems.
  • Support customers through User Acceptance Testing, taking a proactive role in ensuring successful validation.
  • Lead customer preparation activities, including configuration workshops both pre- and post-installation.
  • Configure systems to meet customer requirements and deliver agreed business outcomes.
  • Support customers during implementation, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and coordinating with development teams where required.
  • Deliver customer training on system functionality and usage.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Diagnose, log, and manage issues through to resolution, escalating where appropriate.
  • Capture and document customer requirements in line with agreed processes.

What we're looking for 

  • Experience working with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to understand technical data flows
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server technologies in a commercial environment
  • Understanding of business environments and operational practices
  • IT background, ideally with exposure to logistics or mobile workforce systems
  • Previous experience with telematics systems and hardware is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Customer-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Pragmatic, hands-on problem solver with a willingness to learn quickly
