This month we saw our HQ in Nottingham transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and connection as we proudly hosted our inaugural Makers’ Market! The office was brought to life with beautiful colour, gorgeous scent, and happy laughter thanks to an incredible lineup of talented Midlands-based artisans and craftspeople, each bringing their own flair and passion to the day.

The Makers’ Market

Our Makers’ Market featured a wide range of local businesses; Alight filled the room with beautiful aromas from their luxury candles and home fragrances, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Pitcairn Ceramics displayed their stunning handmade pottery pieces that showcased the beauty of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The talented people from Awn impressed everyone with their bold and imaginative surface designs, while Lets Bee Organic offered delicious local honey and organic health foods that went down a treat with staff looking for something both sweet and wholesome.

Adding a touch of sparkle, Vida presented an elegant collection of locally made jewellery, blending artistry with timeless design.

For those seeking a refreshing boost, Plant Based Passion served up an array of cold-pressed juices and smoothies that quickly became a hit.

The irresistible aroma from Olivia’s Bakery tempted everyone toward their table, laden with freshly baked breads, cakes, and pastries.

Meanwhile, Just Jo, a creative design and print studio, showcased beautiful, printed pieces and custom designs that inspired plenty of conversation.

And of course, no Microlise event would be complete without our firm favourite, Rob the Coffee Man, who was on-site with his signature barista-style coffee to keep everyone energised and smiling throughout the day.

Not Just the Sweet Stuff

Whilst giving back, supporting and working with local businesses and communities is a huge part of our CSR at Microlise, we also wanted to also ensure that we had informative, and helpful representatives on site as well. To that end, we were also fortunate to welcome a representative from Transaid, who shared updates on their incredible transport and logistics projects across Africa and highlighted opportunities for us to get involved in future fundraising.

Additionally, our partners from HSBC joined us once again, offering valuable financial wellbeing guidance and insights into the services available to Microlise employees.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who joined us and contributed to the success of the day. Your enthusiasm and support did not go unnoticed – the vendors were genuinely touched by the warm Team Microlise welcome they received, and many commented on how much they enjoyed connecting with our community.

Supporting local businesses while bringing our teams together made this Makers’ Market a day to remember – and we already can’t wait to host the next one!
