Each year, since 1995, 3663 have held a Sustainability Conference, originally called the ‘Environmental Champion Forum’. 3663 host this event to further develop the environmental management system that they have in place, and to reward and recognise best practise and highlight the significant achievements made within the business. There were a number of internal awards presented across a range of criteria and a number of top level external speakers on the day.
Microlise, having sponsored the Community Engagement Award at this years event, took part in a judging process back in September. The efforts that not only whole depots had gone too, but specific individuals too, were impressive & showed real dedication. Matthew Hague (left), Microlise’s product strategy director, awarded the winning trophy to Nigel Gardiner (right), the depot manager from the winning depot – High Wycombe. 3663 has taken a holistic approach to its environmental management recognising that its impact has a wider focus than just being restricted, for example, to transport and waste issues and that they also have an environmental impact on the local community, and are proactively doing something about it.
