Creed Foodservice Place 5 Year Contract with Microlise for Transport Management Solution

Creed Foodservice and Microlise Ltd are pleased to announce the signing of a 5 year contract for Microlise’s Fleet Performance and Journey Management solution.

Creed Foodservice, an independent family owned business, is one of the UK’s leading independently owned Foodservice Wholesalers, providing a comprehensive range of products including Grocery, Frozen, Chilled, Fresh Meat, Fresh Produce, Dairy, Non Food and Fresh Fish to Operators and Caterers within the Out of Home market throughout the UK.

All products are delivered on one of Creed’s 62 fully multi-temperature vehicles operating out of 4 depots in Cheltenham and Ilkeston.

Creed Foodservices vision is to be the ‘Foodservice Provider of Choice’ in terms of Innovation, Categories and Choice, and recently won the 2011 Energy Efficiency Award at the Foodservice Footprint awards.

When looking for a Transport Execution partner, Creed evaluated six potential suppliers, short listed three and ultimately chose Microlise.

The scope of the solution Microlise will provide in the coming months is:

Microlise’s Fleet Performance Package – Microlise’s innovative Driving Style Monitoring solution which uses Vehicle Telematics data, transmitted in real-time via Microlise’s MTU3 Tracking/Telematics device, coupled with a powerful driving style reporting suite, to help improve driver performance – thereby improving fuel consumption and safety.

Additionally, Creed are also having a sub-set of Microlise’s Journey Management Package – This includes Microlise’s new Driver Communications Module (DCM4), which is a 7 inch touch screen tablet, including messaging, trip information and integrated truck navigation all being implemented with a view to making the driver’s day more easy and reducing management effort.
